As much as possi ble, government needs to stay out of the game of picking "winners & losers". It was congressional meddling with the housing market and its strong encouragement of the financial systems to offer loans to people who were not financially able to sustain those loans which started the whole financial debacle and yet Barney Franks and Chris Dodd maintain their leadership roles in the Democratic retinue and are helping "to fix" our financial system. Hmm.

Why are we subsidizing certain segments of society with tax dollars instead of working on legislation that would benefit all Americans - legislation that helps the private sector which actually produces jobs instead of playing Democratic "Santa Claus" with tax dollars. We are all subsidizing the expansive benefits packages of the unions which were largely responsible for making our car companies unprofitable but have allowed millions of other American workers to lose both jobs and benefits. American citizens now own a large portion of these car companies to what benenfit...Democratic votes? How many other votes have been bought and paid for through ACORN and the unions? Unbelievably, despite the solid evidence to the extensive corruption and misuse of taxpayer dollars, there were still some in Congress who supported this organization continuing to receive funding.

The money government collects is from individual Americans who are weighed down with too many taxes and too much bureaucracy already. The financial crisis started with congress and their handling of Fannie and Freddie and refusal to listen to those who gave warning of impending doom. Congress is excessively concerned with pointing the finger at private industry and finance without taking a look at their own serious misdeeds and profligate spending and making changes to address them. Pelosi "promised" an ethical and transparent House and has led the House to be anything but. According to Maxine Waters most of congress is like Charlie Rangel with records that cannot bear the light of day. Truth was spoken on the floor of Congress and given censure, while individual Democrats are allowed to spout outrageous slurs on other elected representatives with Pelosi's blessing.

The House holds the purse strings of government and has done the most horrendous job in our history of handling our money. (21% approval rating). You are paying for the salaries and staff members of numerous "czars" who are duplicating the roles of the various cabinets and usurping the power of oversight of congress and election by the American people and who are actually endangering us all and forcing changes Americans did not choose and do not want. Just 7 of those czars' salaries amount to over a million dollars. Most of their salaries and cost for their staff is not even to be found. So much for the transparency of this administration. At least Senator Feingold is looking into this. Where is the House's call for investigating the role and power of the "czars"?

Congress votes itself pay raises, refuses to act on ethics charges due to apparently two sets of rules for its own members. Nancy Pelosi is the most partisan and polarizing congressional leader ever elected and Democrats can take full "credit". We need truely bipartisan cooperation to solve the enormous problems we face. Congress is giving away money we do not have and pressing for programs we cannot pay for (healthcare)while blithely ignoring the repercussions on our currency and the future of America itself. Democrats are putting our country and military at risk with the nonstop CIA investigations and nonpolicy for Afghanistan. Stop with the nonstop spending, the expanding federal programs, the nontransparent and frivolous "earmarks" and get down to the job of getting our country back into financial solvency. Clearly we do not want government healthcare rammed down our throats or voted on until both congress and the American people have a chance to read and debate the issues.
