Health Care Bill

I have listen to all the propaganda and political "spin" put out by the White House and members of your party (not that the Republicans aren't quilty as well) regarding National Care, Insurance Reform Bill (what every the current spin is). I agree we (the people of the US) need to do something about the cost of health care in this country, but a government run, tax based, socialist system, is not the answer. I know I have not heard all the stupid suggestions of ways to pay for this, but how can an inteligent person stand up and say they are going to tax medical equipment manufacturers and suppliers. Dah! How stupid can you be to think that when these companies a taxed that they will not increase the price of their products to cover the tax? I have tried manufacturing a product. Fifty percent of retail price is the cost of liability insurance. I suspect, given the number of law suits, the cost of liability insurance for medical equipment and supplies is more like 90%. I hear the cries from the left to charge smokers, and over weight people more for insurance. Where are the cries to charge the "druggies" and the homosextuals more. Don't people with AIDS and drug addictions require more care than healthy people? If congress wants to do something about the cost of health care how about tort reform, not only for doctor's malpactice, but for medical equipment, suppliers, hospitals, ambulance drivers, etc. No matter what you call it, an assessment, a user's fee, a fat tax, what have you, if the government takes my money, or demands more money from the people I purchase goods and services from it is a TAX. I do not support any form of nationalized/socialized health care.
