Subject:
Health Care reform will surely make me homeless
To: Rep. Laura Richardson
October 9, 2009
I'd like to know more about this "penalty" for not buying healthcare insurance. Like many other Americans, I was laid off and because of my age and professional experience, when I am finally able to find a new job, it will most likely be in retail (minimum wage). I currently live in a 1 bedroom apartment with 2 of my children. My rent is $1000.00 per month. We don't go to movies. We don't eat out. The only downsizing left is to move into my car. How in the world will I be able to pay for healthcare insurance? (or a penalty for that matter?) Don't you think that if I could afford to, I would have healthcare insurance?
Please don't let our government put me and my children out of our home.
I've never asked much from my government. I have never been on welfare. But it seems that the government is asking more and more from me.
