I do NOT want to spend another 829 Billion dollars to make health care worse
To: President Barack Obama

Sen. Tom Harkin
Rep. Leonard Boswell

Why can't we take a common sense approach and do the following:
1. Mandatory coverage for pre-existing conditions
2. Enable insurance companies to sell across state lines
3. TORT REFORM
How is it possible that we sell this as an option that will lower the deficit in the long term? Social Security and Medicare are already out of control and you want to pass another entitlement to end all entitlements. We cannot afford our current obligatons much less a giant new one. This is NUTS. Someone in Washington needs to start CUTTING spending rather than expanding spending under the GUISE of an EMERGENCY. There is no emergency! We have time to fix this.
NO PUBLIC OPTION. NO STEALTH PUBLIC OPTION. NO GOVERNMENT RUN OR OVER-REGULATED HEALTH CARE!
