Government Spending

October 1, 2009

I am very concerned about the breakneck pace of Congress as it spends our current and future tax dollars.

Many members of Congress plan to spend trillions of tax dollars, our money that can only be made available by raising taxes, lowering our national standard of living, or by burdening future generations with debt. I have low confidence in the ability of these programs to improve, for example, our environment by hobbling America's ability to compete in the world through so called Cap and Trade regulations.

Government spending is out of control, and Congress seems to be in a rush to put expensive programs on our economy by developing complex and expensive public programs.

We need private sector jobs in America. That happens when companies, both large and small, have the freedom to innovate and grow, and are not bogged down by crippling regulations and taxes.
