Subject:
Illegal Use of Congressional Phone Lines to Push Health Care Agenda

To:
Rep. Laura Richardson

September 27, 2009

Dear Congresswoman Laura Richardson (D-CA 37th District)

Please IMMEDIATELY halt the use of Congressional phone lines to push his healthcare agenda.

The President is using Congressional phone lines to force his agenda onto the American people, most of whom do not want any iteration that has been made public.

When the Congressional Switchboard is called, 1-800-828-0498, this is what you'll hear:

"Thank you for calling your Representative and your Senators.

Please urge them to vote yes on health insurance reform. Because the American people can no longer wait for more choices, lower costs, and coverage we can count on."

After this little message the phone rings once again and is patched through to the switchboard operator.

This is highly illegal and most unbecoming of the Office of the President OR the Members of Congress.

Thank you.
