Why has our Party blown their lead

To:
Rep. Charlie Wilson

September 18, 2009

Why has the Dem Party allowed the GOP to take the lead on message of health care? The rhetoric and lies of many of the top GOP congresspeople and senators is appalling. From Death Panels to 'You Lie".

Where is the leadership, where is control of the message, where is the President's leadership, why are we using his personality instead of his power to take hold and put down the Grassley's who lie daily on national news programs.

And why does this latest iteration of health care include a tax on the middle class? That legislation will not fly because the real Democrats, the ones who have rode the storm for 8 long years, the ones who waited and then contributed to the party so that massive amounts of funds to elect Dems was possible..why do we face a tax hike. I make $70,000 a year and 13% of my money goes toward health care as it is. Yes! I do get a tax break at 7.5% of expenses but now it appears that goes away.

After all this terrible, abusive GOP horror stories, after hearing the likes of Rush call for my President's failure...either I've been transported to an alien planet or my party, the majority party, just let the GOP and their 40 senators take over.
