To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing today to find help for receiving my lump sum disability payment. I won my disability case back in November 2008; and have been receiving my monthly benefits since February 2009. I did not pursue legal help, because I do not think I should have to part with a portion of my payment that has already been approved.

I received a letter dated May 18, 2009 that indicates I will soon be receiving my check for withheld benefits for November 2006 through December 2008. To date, I still have not received this payment and I am getting nowhere going through the local or national office for Social Security benefits,

My son, a minor, received his portion of the lump sum payment, in February 2009.

I have been calling consistently and just getting the same response from everyone. My payment is at the last stage before payment is issued and all they can do is send one (1) message, via email, per month. I have been given to reason for this delay, nor have I received another letter or phone call from the payment center.

My husband and I are waiting for this lump sum to resolve unpaid bills and avoid foreclosure on our property. We own our own business, however, we had a near fatal accident in July 2007; which has added to our financial dilemma.

Any assistance that your office can offer would be greatly appreciated. I am also told that SSA does not pay any interest on this money that they have held since January 2009. I do not understand how any Government Agency can operate in such a negative way.

I can be reached at the phone number, address or email attached. Thank you in advance for any help in this matter of great urgency to my family.
