The President's Speech on health care reform

To:
Rep. John Shimkus

September 13, 2009

Dear Sir:

I want Rep. Joe Wilson censured for his incivility during the President's speech, and I am also appalled that you actually walked out during the speech.

Whether or not you agree with President Obama, you owe respect to the Office of the President of the United States. You are setting a very bad example, and you are not a leader whom I can respect when you behave in this fashion. It's time to grow up or give up your office because you are not performing as a representative of your constituents when you behave this way.
