UN: Contraception Reduces Global Carbon Emmissions Cheap

In a recent UN report, Fewer Emitter, Lower Emissions, Less Cost, the UN estimates that contraception could reduce climate change by more than 34 gigatons (billions of tons) of CO2 if people's family planning needs were met.
For every $6.60 spent on contraception, $31.5 would have to be spent on low carbon technologies to achieve the same result.
