Subject:
Internet Royalties and the Copyright Royalty Board

To:
Rep. Spencer Bachus
Sen. Richard Shelby
Sen. Jeff Sessions

March 31, 2007

Internet radio is the sole reason I hear and buy new music. If the new royalty schedule set by the Copyright Royalty Board has the effect of bankrupting Internet radio broadcasts then I will no longer be exposed to new music - especially music from small and independent artists. Please use your influence to convince the Copyright Royalty Board to reduce it's royalty rate to a level where existing Internet broadcasters can continue to do their jobs. How can the artist receive royalties when their music is neither being played nor purchased?
